Sequoia
Greetings, family and friends, from Success Lake near Porterville, California. Today is Friday, March 15, 2024.
We arrived here last Sunday from Chowchilla, and have enjoyed a week of great weather and quiet. Here are photos of our front and back yards....
Most of the week has been devoted to downtime. We've all enjoyed plenty of sunshine while Jan has crocheted, Mark has read and I've protected our home from the wildlife.
The humans spent a day visiting Giant Sequoia National Monument in the Sequoia National Forest, and plan to go back the the National Forest tomorrow for more hiking and sightseeing.
They also went to a "casino" one night see a "Wolf Pack" on television, but seemed disappointed when they got home. They said they hope to see this "Pack" again next week.
We leave here Tuesday for overnight stops in Bakersfield and Barstow on the way to a few nights in Las Vegas. Apparently "Vegas, baby" is how humans refer to the city. I'm looking forward to our night in Bakersfield--it sounds like a great place for a cat to visit.
I'll be back to you next week from Vegas. Baby.
