Vegas, baby!
Greetings, family and friends, from Fabulous Las Vegas. Today is Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Holy calico, this place is loud! It's hard to get a catnap in....
Since I posted last Friday, we spent a few more quiet days relaxing at Success Lake near Porterville, California. The humans made another trip up to Sequoia National Park....
Jan and Mark reported that the scenery was spectacular. Unfortunately, the trails were all covered in snow, so they didn't do much hiking. They did visit the General Sherman tree, the largest tree in the world....
Tuesday and Wednesday were short travel days coming to Las Vegas, with an overnight stop in Bakersfield. Bakersfield was interesting, as we stayed in an orange orchard area. The "bees" were very busy "pollenating" the orange trees, and Jan advised that I stay away from them. She also explained that the noisy, active birds were busy "pollenating" one another. My tiny cat brain is quite confused....
We arrived in Las Vegas Wednesday, and my humans have been very busy since we arrived. They visited "The Strip" and Fremont Street....
While on "The Strip," they spent a few hours watching "basketball," including the "Wolf Pack" again. As before, they seemed disappointed with the wolves.
They also went to a "hockey" game....
....and Mark insisted that they drive by to see a "football" stadium....
We're settled in at home now, relaxing before we hit the road again....
We will make a short drive to a beach campground on Lake Mead tomorrow, staying there until Thursday, when we will move on to Laughlin, Nevada. I will reach back to you next weekend from there....
