Desert Bloom
Greetings, family and friends, from the base of the Superstition Mountains, east of Phoenix, Arizona (where the lizards live in fear of me). Today is Saturday, May 4, 2025....
We arrived here at Lost Dutchman State Park Monday after a week at a Grand Design owners' rally in Tucson. There were 170 "rigs" at the rally, and more than 350 humans attending. The other rally goers were really interested in how I, as a cat, am enjoying our nomadic lifestyle. (I really am, as there are always new things to see and do.). I was nice to them, and even let a couple touch me. I'm making real progress with my social skills.
Mark and Jan spent most of the week attending social and educational events, which was fine with me, as they left the air conditioning running while they were gone....
It's been a quiet week for us here at Lost Dutchman, as Mark has been a bit under the weather (and has been quite whiny). He's convinced that it's some sort of allergy, as the sagebrush and cactus are blooming....
They have taken a couple of walks....
....visited a ghost town up the road....
....and went into Scottsdale to visit Old Town....
We leave here Monday and head to Cottonwood, a town in the Sedona area. I'll be back to you from there next weekend....
