Happy to be Home

Greetings, family and friends, from beautiful Sparks, Nevada.  Today is Saturday, June 15, and we're all very happy to be home.

The humans and I spent the first half of this week returning home from central Utah.  It took a few days, as we limit the number of hours we drive each day.  Apparently we've got nowhere to be, and all day to get there.

We spent a few nights at a city park in Utah, where Jan took me to the soccer field and taught me about the game....

One day at the park, Jan and I left Emma Jean to take our morning walk, and there, on our mat, was a little gray mouse, feeling far too comfortable.  I walked over and punched it in the face.  He left, not to be seen again.  Yep--a solid right cross right to the kisser....

We spent a night at a Harvest Host country store, where the scenery was great and the food matched....

We also spent nights in Battle Mountain and Fernley, Nevada, but the humans, for some reason, did not take pictures.

Since we left Winchester Bay on February 12, we've travelled 6800 miles and spent the night at 32 unique locations over 139 nights.  Here's where we went on this segment of our Great Adventure--each pin is a location where we spent at least one night....

Mark and Jan have been working on the route for our next adventure--through Idaho and western Montana, to Banff and Jasper in Alberta, Canada, back through northern Idaho, then through Washington and Oregon to Winchester Bay.

We will be in Reno/Sparks until June 30 visiting family and friends, and I won't post while we're here.  I'll be back to you the first weekend of July (6th or 7th) from suburban Boise, Idaho.

Stay hydrated, everybody....
