Glacier National Park

Greetings, family and friends, from southeast British Columbia, Canada.  Today is Friday, 2024-08-02.

Most of this week has been spent at an RV park just outside the gates of Glacier National Park in northern Montana.  My humans made a couple of trips into the park, and most of this post will consist of pictures from their visits.  They also visited Hungry Horse Dam and Hungry Horse Reservoir.

Jan and Mark were, once again, amazed by the beauty of our national parks.  Both days were very cold, but they were prepared with the proper clothing.

I enjoyed some alone time and caught up on my napping.

One of the trips was on a cloudy, rainy day.  Mark and Jan went to the east side of the park, on the other side of the "Continental Divide"....

The humans took the park shuttle up the Going-to-the Sun Road both days (Mark says it was literally "Going-Through-the-Clouds Road" on the overcast day).  They went to Logan Pass and hiked the Hidden Lake Trail, and also explored the west side of the park....

At Hungry Horse Dam and Reservoir....

Of course, there was plenty of time spent at the campsite, and Jan wore me out one afternoon on our daily walk....

There was music one evening at the campground....

After a GREAT couple of weeks in beautiful Montana, we've moved into Canada, and I'll be back next weekend with an update from Banff National Park.  Mark and I are both on the lookout for the elusive poutine, and I'll advise as to how the search goes....
