Portland
Greetings, family and friends, from Tualatin, Oregon. Today is Saturday, September 21, 2024.
Jan brought home a new rubber band for me....
It's yellow, and is much more springy than my (formerly) favorite blue one that I had for a year but have lost. It's been great playing with this new one by myself and with Jan, but my humans have had to hide it while they sleep, as I've kept them up (and gotten into trouble) by playing with it through the night.
Since posting last weekend, we've moved into the Portland area. We first spent two nights at a Harvest Host melon farm outside the city....
....and my humans went into Mt. Angel for Oktoberfest.....
From there, we moved to suburban Portland....
....and Mark and Jan did some of their favorite things in this city that they love.
They went to their favorite food cart pod (mid-day, during their slow hours)....
....a Portland Timbers soccer match....
....and visited their favorite farmer's market....
....and had to have this (no trip to Portland is complete without it)....
Every stop requires nature hikes, so they took a stroll through the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge (just downstream from where we are)....
We're back on the road tomorrow, getting ever closer to family in Winchester Bay. We'll spend a week at Champoeg State Park, and will arrive in Winchester Bay next Sunday. We are all really excited to be this close.
